Target Audience: Any school staff

This hybrid PD session is a practical understanding of the *Social Story 10.3 philosophy, definition, and goal is the heartbeat of every Social Story, guiding the identification of relevant and most-likely-to-succeed topics, development of text and illustration, and the effective implementation of every Story.  Carol will use Social Stories submitted by participants in advance as case examples in her presentation.  After reviewing preliminary materials and attending this session, participants will be able to: 1.       describe the conversation that initiated Social Stories; 2.       define Social Humility and the five elements of the philosophy that guides the development of every Social Story; and 3.       identify the three of the most common Social Story errors and misconceptions.  Materials to review prior to the session will be sent one week prior.  At the end of the live session participants will be awarded 2.5 hours.  For more information contact sally.miracle@ckec.org.
