Teaching the skills needed for successful post-secondary transition can be a true challenge in an MSD classroom. In this session, we aim to empower you with the skills and tools you need to facilitate successful transition instruction. This training will focus on teaching job skills for students with moderate to severe disabilities using the Project Discovery Adapted Curriculum by Education Associates. Participants will meet in-person to learn about and explore Project Discovery materials and how these can be used to teach job skills to students with complex support needs. Various transition planning assessments will also be demonstrated and discussed. Participants will receive 3 hours of professional development credit for attending this session.
