Target Audience: General Education Teachers working with students with IEP’s, Co-Teachers, Interventionist, Instructional Coaches, Resource Teachers

Thank you for registering for the hybrid professional development titled “Guided Reading”.  This Is a hybrid professional development; meaning there will be work to be completed by participants prior to the live training on Friday, August 7 from 9:00-12:00pm ET. 

Work will be sent to participants on or before July 27. The materials need to be reviewed and completed prior to the training on August 7. Participants will need to have their districts purchase the book The Next Step Forward in Guided Reading by Jan Richardson to complete this training. 

7 hours PD/EILA credit (3 hours for webinar, 4 hours self-paced work)

In this hybrid session, participants will receive 4 hours of self-paced work on July 27th that needs to be completed prior to the virtual training date. Participants will also receive 3 hours of virtual training on August 7th. The virtual training will be on guided reading and specific ways to implement this in the classroom. Focus will be on lesson plans for different student levels, scheduling, assessment, centers, and other areas. Participants will be guided through steps to create lesson plans based on the book The Next Step Forward in Guided Reading by Jan Richardson. Participants will need to have their districts purchase the book The Next Step Forward in Guided Reading by Jan Richardson to complete this training.
