Target Audience: School staff working with students with moderate to severe disabilities

This hands-on workshop will develop the conceptual foundations of numeracy.  Numeral identification, counting,  cardinality, number composition, and more will be examined.  The use of various tasks and activities to support moving from concrete to abstract/symbolic representations will be shared and created.  In addition, we will explore how errorless learning strategies might be used for students with moderate to severe disabilities.  Participants will leave with an action plan and resources to use in the classroom.
