So you’re an MSD teacher… now what?
New MSD teachers are asked to manage instruction, behavior, communication systems, schedules, and team coordination — often all at once.
This session provides a structured roadmap for building a successful MSD classroom. Participants will explore practical systems for developing a collaborative classroom team, understanding student needs and IEP requirements, organizing instructional spaces, creating schedules, implementing AAC supports, and addressing behavior through function-based strategies.
This in-person training is designed specifically for new MSD teachers. Learn how to:
✔ Build a strong para/teacher team
✔ Understand IEP expectations
✔ Set up your classroom and schedule
✔ Plan instruction that works
✔ Support student behavior with confidence
Walk away with real tools, systems, and strategies you can use immediately.
👉 Perfect for new MSD teachers or anyone transitioning into low-incidence classrooms. Participants will receive 6 hours of PD credit for this session. Contact erica.price@ckec.org with any questions.
