Target Audience: General Education, Special Education, and Instructional Coaches

This training is designed for middle and high school math teachers and will focus on incorporating Concrete, Semi-Concrete, and Abstract representations into instruction to support conceptual understanding of middle and high school math content. A large portion of this training will be spent exploring how Algebra Tiles can support mathematical understanding for struggling learners. Participants will receive an instruction book on how to implement algebra tiles in the classroom along with sets of algebra tiles to take and use with students in the classroom.  Please contact jane.goatley@ckec.org with any questions. 6 Hours PD Credit
