Target Audience: General Education Teachers working with students with IEP’s, Co-Teachers, Interventionist, Instructional Coaches, Resource Teachers

The Paraphrasing Strategy is designed to teach students to write well-organized paragraphs that include: topic, detail, and clincher sentence, a consistent point of view, consistency in tense, logically sequenced ideas, and appropriate transitions between ideas. Participants will work through the instructional sequence for each lesson to learn and understand the strategies included. Participants will receive a copy of the student materials and instructor’s manual in Paragraph Writing.  This strategy is part of the Strategic Instructional Model (SIM).
