Systematic Instruction is considered one of the “Foundational Five” best practices to implement when working with autistic students. Join us in this two-hour virtual session as we dive deep into systematic instruction and what it looks like in the classroom. Participants will learn the definition and key components of systematic instruction, the role of systematic instruction and structured learning environments in supporting autistic students, and how to assess students and determine a step-by-step instructional plan to support them. We will see examples of how this could look in both a resource setting, and a co-teaching environment. Participants will receive two hours of professional development credit for completing this session.
