Target Audience: General Education, Special Education, Instructional Coaches, and Administrators

An engaging, hands-on professional development session for educators teaching math in grades K-3.  We will focus on helping young learners—especially students with disabilities—develop deep, conceptual understanding of math through the intentional use of manipulatives. This training explores strategies from Mastering Math Manipulatives by Sara Delano Moore and Kimberly Rimbey. Participants will receive a copy of the book, a set of manipulatives, and other manipulative-related resources. Discover how to turn abstract math into concrete learning experiences that support all students in building confidence and competence in math.
