Target Audience: special education teachers, instructional coaches, general education teachers, special education administrators
Antecedent Behavior Interventions are one of the most effective strategies teachers can use to support students with autism. During this two-hour virtual session, participants will learn how changing what happens before a behavior of concern can help students with autism increase desired behavior later. Participants will explore examples of antecedent behavior interventions, learn the definition and key components, and how these interventions provide support to autistic students. Practical ways to apply these interventions in a resource room or general education classroom will be discussed. Participants will receive two hours of professional development credit for completing this session.
