10/5/2021 or 10/12/2021-Conceptual Building Blocks of Fractions Hybrid (Live kickoff and self-paced modules)

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

There are no upcoming dates for this event.

The Conceptual Building Blocks is designed to build a teacher’s capacity to work with students in various settings.  The approach is rooted in a concrete–semi-concrete–abstract (CSA) methodology of teaching and develops conceptual understanding along the way to procedural understanding.  This module focuses on progression of thought for fractions, addressing misconceptions, building fraction sense, and operations with fractions.

This training consists of two parts.

  1. Live virtual Kickoff Session (1 hour) on October 5 OR October 12, 2021 at 3:00 pm ET–via Zoom
  2. Asynchronous learning modules (up to 9 hours)

For the live session, you may choose to attend on October 5 or October 12.  It is the same registration.  The Zoom link will be sent by the end of the day on October 4, 2021.  That Zoom link will be good for either live session.

Number of PD/EILA hours will vary depending on which parts of the module are completed.  Up to 10 hours are possible.

*Note: extra resources will be provided to the CKEC Regional Special Education Teachers and General Education Co-Teachers who register earliest AND attend the live Kickoff!
