Target Audience: general education, special education, instructional coaches, and administrators

This six hour (PD/EILA) face-to-face training will highlight evidence-based strategies that promote success in math class. The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics 8 Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices will be highlighted in conjunction with the Standards for Mathematical Practice. Participants will go through an application style approach to embedding these teaching practices into the classroom regardless of program and curriculum. There will be an emphasis on high yield specially designed instruction (SDI) strategies centered around problem solving and utilizing the concrete-semi-concrete-abstract (CSA) strategy to promote understanding.  Contact jane.goatley@ckec.org for any questions.
