Explicit instruction is a research-based strategy that consists of systematic, direct, engaging instruction that is success-oriented. This overview will provide a foundation of the guiding principles and elements of Explicit Instruction, including the design and delivery of instruction, eliciting responses and how to provide feedback, and providing adequate practice.
