Targeted Audience: Intermediate, Middle, and High School Teachers, Instructional Coaches, School and District Leaders

This workshop will equip teachers with tools and strategies to engage students in science with phenomenon-based learning and the 5E Instructional Model. 

 

In this session, learners will:

 

  • Understand and apply the key components of the 5E model to structure phenomenon-based science lessons effectively.
  • Choose captivating phenomena that align with curriculum and standards to actively engage students in scientific inquiry.
  • Employ strategies such as effective questioning, evidence utilization, and student collaboration to guide inquiry and investigation in the classroom.
  • Create phenomenon-based science lessons that integrate the 5E model, align with curriculum and standards, and foster student engagement in scientific inquiry.
