Join us for a virtual book study of Strategies That Work by Stephanie Harvey and Anne Goudvis. We will meet via Zoom from 3:30 – 4:30 on the following dates: October 2, 15, and 23rd.

The authors “offer new perspectives on how to explicitly teach thinking strategies so that students become engaged, thoughtful, independent readers.”

Strategies That Work chapters contain new lessons that are focused on knowledge-building activities for elementary and middle school classrooms. When looking at differentiated reading instruction for your classroom, Strategies That Work covers topics such as close reading, text complexity, critical thinking, and more.

Participants will receive 2 hours PD credit for each session attended. The first 15 people that register will receive a copy of the book, which will be available for pick up at the CKEC office on Fortune Drive in Lexington. Please contact Kasie with any questions at  kasie.lakarosky@ckec.org
