Target Audience: Special education teachers, general education teachers who work with students in special education, teachers in alternative school settings, administrators and counselors

This session will present practical behavior and academic strategies used to effectively work with students who have been diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder or who are just noncompliant.  Working with students who have control issues can be an extremely frustrating task; however, when one has a clear understanding of the disorder, it is much easier to identify the function of inappropriate behavior and to design appropriate interventions to ensure student success
