Target Audience: Teacher and SLP Teams of student(s) with communication needs are recommended.

This 2.5 hour professional learning session will introduce core vocabulary communication systems for students with significant disabilities and complex communication needs.  We will highlight the development and use of this AAC tool combined with video clips for Aided Language Modeling for providing either low or high tech AAC options for students who need augmentative communication.  Participants will be provided information for picking up needed materials for this session or will be able to print the materials themselves.  ASHA and KSHS CEU’s will be provided.

Thank you for registering for the virtual professional development titled “Introduction to Core Vocabulary”.  This virtual session will be held on Monday, July13 from 9:30am -12:00pm ET.  

If participants want the materials to make the items in the session, there will be non-contact pick up at CKEC between the hours of 9:30am – 11:30am ET on Tuesday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 8.  More information on the pick-up process will be sent via email on July 3.
