There are no upcoming dates for this event.

Target Audience: A team consisting of at least a teacher and SLP who work with students with communication needs.

This hybrid professional 2.5 hour learning session will focus teams on communication teaching strategies including Aided Language modeling, creating communication opportunities through managing the environment, waiting for communicative attempts, and expanding communication models. In addition, teams will consider strategies for tracking communication data and implementing data-informed decisions.  Finally, teams will complete implementation action plans for improving communication outcomes through AAC use. Teams who wish to do so, may sign up for team coaching. Coaching involves a minimum of 2 – 30 minute team zoom calls with TAALC staff to problem solve, borrow AAC devices, and monitor progress to insure progress in using AAC. A teacher/SLP team is highly recommended
