This hybrid Professional Development is meant to support a practical understanding of Mindfulness in school.  Research shows that “relaxed students learn better and relaxed teachers teach better”.  In this session participants will explore research around mindfulness for students and staff, build a toolkit full of strategies for reducing stress in the classroom and leave with ready to implement ideas.  The second part of the day will focus on stress relief for teachers.  Participants will have the opportunity to practice breathing and yoga for stress reduction and explore ideas for building a personal mindfulness practice. 

Dress comfortably and bring a beach towel or yoga mat.  We will be addressing the high level practices, #1, 4, 7. 8, 9 & 18

 

Thank you for registering for the hybrid professional development titled “Mindfulness”.  This Is a hybrid professional development; meaning there will be work to be completed by participants prior to the live training on Thursday, June 25 from 9:30-11:30am ET.  

 

By June 15, you will be given access to a Google Drive folder filled with links and resources.
