This hybrid Professional Development is meant to support a practical understanding of Social Story philosophy as the heartbeat of every Social Story, guiding the identification of relevant and most-likely-to-succeed topics, and the effective implementation of every Story.  For the first time, Carol Gray will use Social Stories submitted by participants in advance as case examples in the second half of the presentation.  In addition to learning the philosophy of Social Stories, participants will be able to explain why the goal of Social Stories is to control the behavior of parents and professionals.  Participants will learn the ten criteria for developing a Social Story and be able to identify the most common errors and misconceptions when developing Social Stories.  For questions on this session please contact Sally Miracle at sally.miracle@ckec.org.
