Target Audience: MSD Teachers, Instructional Coaches, Special Education Administrators

This session will prepare educators to support students as they transition from one school building to another—a process that can be challenging, especially for students with disabilities who rely on predictability and routine. Participants will explore why change can be difficult, learn best practices for easing transitions, and collaborate on planning strategies with receiving school staff. Discover how to smoothly transition your learners to a new classroom and school environment by using evidence-based practices and supports. In this session, we will discuss creating schedules to help transition, planning between teachers at different buildings, and how to help support your low-incidence learners.

This is a virtual session. Participants will receive a 2-hour PD certificate.
