In this virtual training led by Misty Higgins and Carrie McDaniel of KDE, participants will be provided with an overview of clarity and its role in teaching and learning to support students in meeting the expectations within the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS). Participants will be able to: Articulate what is meant by clarity and explain the research regarding the impact of clarity on teaching and learning; Identify the components within the KAS documents that provide greater clarity around grade-level or course standards; Explain the role of learning goals, relevance and success criteria in providing clarity to students; Examine the role of clarity in the formative assessment process; and Access resources from the KDE that help develop greater clarity of the Kentucky Academic Standards. 

3.5 hours of EILA awarded to participants. Zoom link and participant materials will be sent via email before the training.
