7/11/2023-Youth Mental Health First Aid

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

There are no upcoming dates for this event.

Target Audience: Middle and high school special education teachers, general education teachers, alternative school staff and any others who work with students in grades 6 – 12

Oftentimes our students are experiencing mental health issues or may be in crisis. As educators, we want to help our students. Unfortunately, we don’t always know how or feel like we have the skills to help. Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) can help! YMHFA teaches school staff how to provide “first aid” and intervene until a counselor, social worker or someone else in the school can take over.   YMHFA is evidenced based and is designed to help participants feel confident and comfortable in intervening with youth. Youth Mental Health First Aid does not teach people to diagnose or to provide treatment.
