Target Audience: All educators interested in using a multi-sensory approach to support phonics in language and literacy development, including SLPs

See the Sound-Visual Phonics is a multi-sensory approach to teach phonic skills to beginning readers. Workshop participants will be taught 52 unique hand cues that represent the sounds of English (commonly referred to as vowels, consonants, diphthongs, and digraphs). See the Sounds-Visual Phonics is a simplified, visual, kinesthetic version of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).

PRESENTER:  Lacey Back Lane, MS CCC-SLP, is a speech language pathologist with 13 years of experience working with children in the public-school setting.

This session takes two days. Day 1 will be in-person on July 19, 2023 at the CKEC training center. Day 2 will consist of a full day virtual module to be completed on your own. (You will be given the module which will only remain available for two weeks.) Completers will receive Visual Phonics Cards-Digital Download.

CKEC has applied for EILA credit as well as CEUs for SLPs.
